Francis Sakila Nyumalin, Heads Delegation to AARDO Conference in New Delhi, India

The Ministry of Internal Affairs wishes to inform the general public and our partners in progress that Hon. Francis Sakila Nyumalin, Minister of Internal Affairs, is currently in New Delhi, India as the head of a three-man Liberian delegation to attend the Twenty-First General Session of the African-Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO) Conference, scheduled to take place from February 21 to 24, 2025, in New Delhi, India. Accompanying Minister Nyumalin is Hon. Edward K. Mulbah, Deputy Minister for Research and Development Planning of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Director of AARDO Affairs in Liberia, as well as Ms. Bede-Tieda George, Administrative Officer. This conference will bring together representatives from various African and Asian countries to engage in discussions on vital strategies for rural development, exchange best practices, and strengthen collaborative efforts among member nations. Additionally, the AARDO Conference will tackle pressing issues affecting rural development, such as sustainable agriculture, poverty reduction, and community empowerment.
